Nancy Andrews' hands-on presentation style is like no other Infection Control course you have ever experienced! Seminar objectives are to 1) present new and altered diseases of importance to dentistry in a changing world, 2) explore dentisty's role in fighting disease transmission under ordinary office conditions and in extraordinary situations and 3) satisfy the AZ State Board of Dental Examiners' (BODEX) requirements for Infection control continuing education. Topics covered include basics of disease transmission, BODEX infection control standards, bood-borne diseases, fluid-borne diseases, airborne diseases, allergies and hypersensitivities, epidemic and bioterrorism agents and strategies, biofilms of interest and concern and reasonable precautions, sound strategies and picking optimal products.

Nancy Andrews, RDH, BS:

Nancy graduated from and taught at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, and practiced dental hygiene locally for 20 years. She is a professor at West Coast University, Dental Hygiene program. Nancy presents at major meetings across the nation, focusing on infectious diseases, clinical safety, disaster preparedness, instrument sharpening, California Dental Practice Act, Dental Risk, oral pathology, and ergonomics. She is one of the top 100 national speakers, is on the California Dental Association, ADA and OSAP speaker's/Consultants bureaus. Nancy is a widely published author of dental journal articles and has contributed to textbooks, professional infection control documents and posters.
