An overview of drug and alcohol abuse in professionals. Dr. Michel Sucher will also review his work with the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners' Monitored Aftercare Treatment Program and how to effectively deal with drug abusing patients.

A nationally known expert on addiction medicine and emergency medicine, Dr. Sucher earned Bachelor of Science and Medical Degrees from Wayne State University. He completed an internship at Sinai Hospital in Detroit and a Residency at Indiana University Medical Center. For 20 years he worked as an emergency physician and emergency department director at both Scottsdale Healthcare Hospitals. He practices addiction medicine and serves as Medical Director for the Monitored Aftercare Programs for the Arizona State Medical and Dental Boards. His certifications include Emergency Medicine and Addiction Medicine and he holds teaching positions throughout the greater Phoenix Metropolitan area. Proceeds of this course will go to the Arizona Dental Foundation.
