9:00 AM --Patient Evaluation

As dentists, we are committed to providing our patients with the highest level of care- we have wonderful and compassionate staff, the office is comfortable and welcoming and we are dedicated to treatment that is superior! We have the best equipment and supplies to facilitate our provision of the best care. We do all of this in practices that are busy and arranged to run efficiently so as to maximize productivity. Despite this commitment to excellence, we often forget the simple things that ensure the success of all your hard work and effort: patient evaluation.

Quite possibly one of the most important aspects of patient care and management, all too often patient evaluation is a rushed and overlooked process. Fully appreciating how important productivity is to a practice, patient evaluation should be viewed as a foundational accomplishment to ensure practice success. The purpose of this course is to remind us that we need to dedicate the necessary time to complete a thorough and comprehensive review of the health and well-being of each patient who comes to our practice. Accomplishing this important part of patient care will aid you in raising your level of patient care and improving patient outcomes. Be prepared for success!

1:00 PM -- Medical Emergencies

Medical emergencies can happen anytime and to anyone present in the dental office -- patients, staff or the dentist as well as family or friends who came to the office with the patient. Having appropriate prevention systems in place can mean the difference between successfully surviving a catastrophic event and having an unfortunate outcome. You will leave the course with a strong understanding of how to prevent medical emergencies through proper patient assessment and preparation and how to efficiently manage an emergency through early recognition and treatment.

Proceeds from this course benefit the Arizona Dental Foundation (ADF) which directs its efforts toward community related activities that expand AzDAs ability to bring much-needed dental care to underserved Arizonans.  Registration fee for this course is deductable to the extent allowed by law.  Consult your tax advisor for more information.
