Overview

Dentists and dental teams strive to provide safe, high-quality care that yields positive treatment outcomes and satisfied patients. However, things don't always go as planned. This course will help dentists and their staff identify risks in dentistry and take steps to reduce the likelihood of dissatisfied patients, dental board complaints, or even malpractice claims. We'll provide you with practical tips and techniques to help you better manage patients and their care and reduce the risk of an undesired outcome.

Speakers

Kevin Earle

Kevin Earle

Mr. Earle has worked in the dental profession for much of his career. He led the Arizona Dental Association for eleven years from 2007 through 2019. He came to organized dentistry from a distinguished career in health care regulation, having previously served as the Executive Director of the Arizona Board of Dental Examiners, the New Jersey Board of Dentistry, and the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners. He is an Honorary Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He holds a BA in Public Affairs from George Washington University, an MBA from Rutgers University, and an MPH from Columbia University.
Leah Schachar

Leah Schachar

Leah Schachar is an Arizona transplant originally from Calgary, Alberta and the founder of Schachar Law, PLLC. Leah graduated from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and has over a decade of legal experience defending individuals and medical practices in litigation and administrative matters before Arizona courts and licensing boards. Leah's extensive experience includes representing licensed professions before Arizona's professional licensing boards, including the Arizona Board of Dental Examiners, the Arizona Medical Board, and Arizona Nursing Board. Before attending law school, Leah was a professional synchronized swimmer in a world-renowned Las Vegas stage show.
