The Connected Body: The Oral Health Connection

The program will include a multidisciplinary approach through TED talk-styled lectures and collaborative roundtable discussions aimed at assessing the oral-systemic link and bridging the gap between medical and dental health care providers. The AzDA Lead Committee will invite guest speakers, including health organizations, medical and dental providers, educators, and other third party organizations to review updates on current best practices, innovative methods, monitoring progress, and the future development and considerations for healthcare providers to apply to our respective fields and as a whole in the medical community and most importantly for our patients. Topics will include “Pregnancy, Pediatrics, and Dentistry,” “Periodontal Disease and Cardiovascular Disease,” “Sleep Apnea and Airway Issues,” and “Cancer and Oral Health.”
