Wake up Your Practice!  Dental Sleep Medicine for You and Your Staff

You and your team will walk away from this program filled with information about sleep medicine that you can take back to your offices and implement immediately.  The course starts with an introduction to sleep medicine and follows-through to actual implementation.  It’s not just a lecture but will include hands-on experience (with pig jaws) in the following areas:  records; temp splint; lasers and the airway.  Dr. Batoon will discuss sleep related breathing disorders in both children and adults.  There will be an overview of evaluation and screening protocol and selection of appliances. Dr. Batoon will also review tips and tools for myofunctional therapy followed by full implementation.  Dr. Batoon knows from experience that the dental office team is a huge part of providing the patient with optimal results and encourages you to bring them along with you.

Plus: Dentists and Hygienists:  Participating in this course will meet Laser certification!

 Learning objectives:

  • The importance of forming relationships within the medical community;
  • Learn the importance of evaluating patients at risk for sleep-related breathing disorders;
  • Tools to implement new patient exam for possible sleep issues.
  • Development of team members to treat breathing disorders efficiently.

Participants will leave with a kit to help start evaluating for sleep issues at their practice Monday morning, and will end the day with a wine & cheese reception!

Diana Batoon, DDS:
