The safety issues that dentistry has faced during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic have been confusing and frustrating.   Even though the pandemic is nearing an end, OSHA and the CDC have issued new guidance aimed at protecting dental health care workers and patients from COVID-19 and other airborne transmissible diseases.   Learn about the new standards and guidelines and how to implement them in a practical way in dental practices.

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the latest OSHA regulations for protecting workers from aerosols in the workplace.
  • Assess their compliance with CDC guidelines regarding infection prevention and control.
  • Implement strategies for utilizing appropriate PPE for aerosol generating procedures.
  • Identify resources that will assist in staying current with regulatory and safety issues.
