What Happens When You're Not There?

Injury, illness, disability and sudden death have no discrimination - they can happen at any time; to any one! Having a plan in place that would protect the practice in case the doctor is not there is a vital tool in practice management. In the words of Dr. Michael Thompson, who just recently sold his practice due to a sudden illness, "Having a practice protection group saved my practice and my butt!"

No one plans on being sick, becoming injured or disabled, or suddenly passing away. Preparing for the unexpected event of something happening is the best medicine for a dental practice to continue to thrive!

Learning Objectives:
  • The benefits of joining a Practice Protection Group made up of dentists of like minds and like philosophy whose purpose is to cover for each other in case something happens
  • Become familiar with the documents that should be put in place to create a portfolio that will assist anyone who is tasked with overseeing the practice and/or estate in case of an injury, illness, disability, or sudden death.
  • Review a checklist of items to orchestrate when something happens
